Types of Work
Experience Reports (Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation of Systems): The purpose of this category is to share the key aspects and lessons learned from an experience, rather than to demonstrate the system itself. For example: "Lessons learned from the development of a mobile app for monitoring the health of pregnant patients."
Research Studies or Reviews (Narrative or Systematic): These submissions should follow a scientific methodology and be reported using standard academic formats. They may include original research or narrative/systematic reviews on a specific topic. For example: "An updated review of artificial intelligence systems in medicine." Priority will be given to work that has not been previously presented at other events.
Panel (Expert Panel): Panels may include up to four panelists and one moderator. They will last 90 minutes and should be designed to allow audience participation whenever possible. Their purpose is to present different opinions, perspectives, and experiences on a current topic in health informatics. Panel topics may address a specific aspect of theory, application, policy, trends, or practical experience related to any area of health informatics, or provide interdisciplinary perspectives that span traditional topics.
System Demonstrations: Demonstrations may feature open-source, in-house developed, or commercial applications. Each demonstration may include up to two presenters and will last 20 minutes, including questions and discussion. System demonstrations should showcase one or more innovative aspects of a system that is in use, under development, or at the prototype or testing stage, and should be aligned with the conference themes.
Workshop: Workshop organizers work alongside participants as collaborators rather than as experts or opinion leaders. The objective is to actively engage the audience and facilitate collaborative work around a specific topic related to the conference themes. Workshops may have up to four organizers and will last 90 minutes.
Tutorials: Tutorials are educational sessions focused on a specific topic in the field of health informatics. Each tutorial may have up to four organizers/instructors and will last 3 hours.
Important Dates
Submissions close September 11.
Authors will be notified of acceptance on September 25.
We will have presentation sessions during the conference in three languages (ENG, ESP and POR) but the sessions will not have simultaneous translation

Accommodation Recommendations
We recommend staying in either Palermo or Recoleta, two of Buenos Aires' most popular and tourist-friendly neighborhoods. Both offer a wide variety of hotels, serviced apartments, Airbnb accommodations, restaurants, and entertainment options.
In general, any accommodation rated 8.0 or higher on Booking.com should provide a very good experience. Airbnb is permitted and widely available in Buenos Aires.
Both Palermo and Recoleta provide convenient access to Hospital Italiano and Parque de Innovación, either by public transportation or ride-sharing services such as Uber.
Palermo (Soho / Hollywood / Botánico)
Palermo is the city's most popular neighborhood among visitors, known for its vibrant atmosphere, excellent restaurants, cafés, bars, nightlife, boutique shopping, and contemporary urban culture. It is an ideal choice for travelers looking for a modern and lively environment.
Recoleta
Recoleta is one of Buenos Aires' most elegant neighborhoods, famous for its museums, parks, traditional cafés, European-style architecture, and the iconic Recoleta Cemetery. It offers a more refined and classic Buenos Aires experience.
